It is an ornament (decoration) made from shimenawa.
We used shimenawa from "Nawaya Chūemon," founded in 1907, to create DeLife's "shimenawa decoration."

-The occasion came about unexpectedly-
He first visited DeLife as an ordinary customer and purchased one of our products, which was theIt was Mr. Kushiro of Nawaya Chūemon.

We learned about his work after connecting with such a nice guy, Mr. Kushiro, on Instagram, which led us to reach out to him for this project.
About this shimenawa
From planting the rice used for the straw through manufacturing, every step is carried out by the artisans of "Nawaya Chūemon."

Made entirely in Japanthese shimenawa decorations, with their fresh green scent, leave you feeling refreshed simply by having them displayed.
This product could be described not only as visually appealing but also as a "freshly fragrant product."
The scent of straw brings back memories of the countryside and evokes an indescribable feeling. In a word, it's emotional.
-About the design-
In fact, we struggled a great deal with the design.
We tried various leather decorations, but none could match the impact of the shimenawa; they simply did not fit.
It makes sense.
but shimenawa have been perfected over their long history.
We struggled with it for quite some time,
We created an extremely simple design that binds the shimenawa with leather, giving it DeLife's signature unadorned style.
We are very pleased with how the ornament turned out.
This jagged silhouette is inspired by lightning, reflecting our wish for a bountiful rice harvest in the design.
Recommended as an ornament to brighten up your room or as a New Year's shimenawa decoration.
