Using shimenawa made by “Nawaya Chūemon,” founded in 1907, we created Delife’s “shimenawa decoration.”

I learned about their work after connecting on Instagram with Mr. Kushiro, such a nice guy, and that led me to reach out to him for this project.

This product could be called a “fragrant product” with a fresh, grassy scent, not just something that looks good.
The scent of straw brings back memories of the countryside and evokes an indescribable feeling. In a word, it is emotional.
-About the design-
In fact, we struggled a great deal with the design.
We tried various leather decorations, but none could match the presence of the shimenawa, or rather, they just did not fit.
That makes sense.
but shimenawa have been perfected over their long history.
We struggled with it for quite some time,
We created an extremely simple design that simply binds the shimenawa with leather—an understated, not overly decorated style characteristic of Delife.
We were able to create an ornament we are truly satisfied with.
This jagged silhouette is inspired by lightning, reflecting the wish for a bountiful rice harvest in its design.
It is recommended as an ornament to decorate your room or as a shimenawa decoration for the New Year.
